A Different Daquiri

Makes 8 Drinks

Nothing says warm weather like a daquiri – a balanced drink with plenty of acidity and fresh fruit. This one, a little different, brings in mellow flavors from the Lillet and Sake to add complexity to the rum as well as kiwi for a twist. It’s a little more labor intensive than flipping the switch on a blender, but well worth it when we’re in prime strawberry season!

Ingredients:

  • Dry unflavored Sake – 8 Ounces
  • White Rum – 8 Ounces
  • Lillet – 8 Ounces
  • Simple Syrup – 4 Ounces
  • Strawberries – 1 Pint
  • Kiwi – 4 Each
  • Lemon – 4 Each

Drink Service:

In a mixing glass, muddle one strawberry with half of a kiwi (peeled). Next, squeeze half of one lemon over the glass for fresh juice, and fill the glass with ice. Add in all of your liquid ingredients and shake vigorously to blend and chill. Finally, strain the drink thoroughly into a chilled coup glass.
